Kiara watched them, they were cute. Tawnie falls into a very light sleep and Tyson smiles at her, then gets up very carefully to make his way towards her. She can tell he is sniffing her so sh just stays where she is. He said She wasn't eating them and she tried not to laugh, bit she did chuckle "No, I won't eat either of you. If i get hungry there is always zebra, gazelle, and Impala" She said to his silly statement. He climbs on her face resting his forepaws between her eyes.

"I've had over fifteen mommies. They never said I could be king. Why do you say it?"

She tilts her head "Well then those mommies are unfaithful, their ignorance clouds their greater vision, they see you playing pretending to be something they are positive you're not. They obviously haven't seen how devoted and loyal you are." She explains "They don't realize that you won't be a cub forever, so they don't think you can handle it. What I see is a devoted, caring, loyal cub, one who will understand his pride, not judge them if they seem odd in ways and understands we are diffrent. That is why I say you will make a great King" She keeps herself from licking his forehead to reasure him, so she doesn't upset him.

"I understand what it feels like to feel like you're and out cast" She tells him "My mother and father were killed and My pride ran me off worried I would attract the hunters back, that and another male took claim and he apparently didn't like me, so I had to leave, and have been On my own since" She looked at Tyson and smiled "Ya know I feel bad for all your mothers" She said "They don't get to see that you are a good cub, I do hope you find a family that will accept you," She said, she would take him in, but she figured he would rather stay with his friend. And besides they seemed to be doing fine on their own, though Tawnie looked a bit underweight, she was sure she would gain some soon.

Tawnie stayed snuggled to Tyson, until he got up, she was sure he went to speak to kiara since soft voices followed afterward. She heard Tyson ask why Kiara thought he would male a good king, she snorted softly he didn't know already?? She slowly sat up again listening to what Kiara thought . Kiara explained to him why and she nodded vigorously in agreement. She trotted up to Tyson and gently tugged his tail "Yea Tyson you should see yourself, you are amazing!! You mommies were kinda dumb...no offense" she cooed with a mouthful of tail. She let go and tumbled backwards a little bit she giggled and sat back up and looked at the orange sky "Orange is an odd color..." she said to herself and then she walked over to Kiara climbed on her head and started to chew on her ear. After a few minutes of that she let her forepaws slide down the lioness's face scrunching it up a little bit. "Tyson look she has another head!" Tawnie giggled and leaped off kiara's head and landed on Tyson "Oops, sorry" She cooed and tugged on his ear..

I listen carefully to Kiara, devouting all of her words to memory. What she says seems so real, like maybe it is all true, but a part of me wonders why she is different from the other lionesses. Until she says she has a comparable history. I feel my heart shrink, that I had judged this lioness so much that I did not see there was a possibility at all she is like me. I feel a smile tug at my lips.

"You are alone too." It is a statement, and I drop back to my paws and push my head against her chest. "You're not now! You have Nee Nee and me." I smile up at her, then look over as I feel something grab and tug my tail. Of course, Nee Nee! I grin, then turn my body, pulling my tail to it's limits then pounce on Nee Nee. In that second she lets go, looking up. I do the same, then look back at Nee Nee as she zooms by me, her attention span getting her again.

I chase her a bit, til she climbs up to Kiara's head. I grin, batting the air as she scrunches the females face, then leaps off. My eyes widen as she lands on me, and I roll a bit, before wrapping my arms around her in a viciously playful hug. She bits me ear, and I cry out in pretend pain. "Oh no! Nee Nee's got meeeeee!" I collapse beneath her, slumping to the ground then stick out my tongue dramatically in an award winning act of death.

Just as Nee Nee crawls to me, I wait a second, holding my breath, then pounce on her! "ROOOOAR! ZOMBIE CUB!" I roar, then run off her "You're the zombie now! CAN'T GET ME!" I laugh, then duck behind Kiara. I look up at the lioness, then launch myself onto her back. "SAFE ZONE!" I call out, then inch up her and rest my head ontop of hers. I look down at Nee Nee.

Kiara could tell he was listening very carefully. As she finished her story he spoke, stating she was alone she nodded. She felt her face scrunch up and chuckled "It seems I have cub syndrome" she chuckled "Do you care to treat it Nee Nee?" She asked, with no answer she jumped off and fell on Tyson.

"Oh no Nee nee's got me!!"

Kiara chuckled watching them, she had no cubs of her own so it was nice to see some cubs, very cute ones, play and romp around. He fell to the ground and did a very dramatic act of play dead "Uh oh I think you Killed him!'' Kiara gasped playfully and poked his hindquarters. Tawnie crawl on Tyson. The little white cub sprung to life and tackled her saying he was a zombie Kiara chuckled "oooooo" She cooed like a ghost She called Tawnie a Zombie and ducked behind her and soon climbed on her back resting hid head on her's right to where he could see Tawnie who was staring thoughtfully at the two. Tyson declared her the safe zone. Kiara chuckled, if thats the case she would have to move around a little bit.

Kiara Yawned "This safe zone is going to have to move around a little bit soon" She cooed "Might be a little challenging for the anit-zombie cub hmmm?" She teased, but she would stay where she was while Tyson Lingered on her head, just so he didn't fall off.

Tawnie giggled when she flopped on Tyson as he yelled she got him "Yup! I am a scary lion!!" She said proudly as he 'died' She looked at Kiara who said she killed him She felt her ears lay flat and she went to sniff him, just as she was closing in to see if he was really died he pounced up

"ROOOOAR! ZOMBIE CUB!"

Tawnie widened her eyes "AHH DON'T EAT ME!!" She cried and tried to run but got tackled he said she was a Zombie. Tawnie Giggled and staggered over to him making very odd noises, pretending to be a zombie "Tyson brains sound good today" She said and went after him just as he climbed on Kiara and called her the safe zone. She walked back and forth for a moment and sat down pouting "You can't stay there forever!" She whined "It's not fair!" She tried to climb up, but didn't want to be a cheater so she sat there waiting fo him to jump down.

And what it all boils down to
Is that no one's really got it figured out just yet
'cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano

I watch my little Nee Nee from above the safe zone (aka Kiara) and feel the fun wash from my veins and blood. She looks up at me with beautiful sad eyes, and my smiley attitude falters. For a moment I realize that my whole world now revolves around this little girl, and that no matter how hard I try I will always be protecting her and constantly at work to make her happy.

Right now, I also realize I am preventing a smile to cross her face, and it feels like I am failing at everything. To bring Tawnie's smile back nothing else exists and I have one goal in mind, to reach her and come down from Kiara, and if anything practically give her a winning tag. If it meant faking a stumble on a rock or log, if it meant pretending exhaustion I don't care.

I raise myself slowly, stepping foreword so my right paw is resting between Kiara's eyes. I lean foreword towards the ground, but I never take my eyes off of Tawnie. My Tawnie. It takes seconds, if that, to hurl myself off of Kiara's head and hit the ground a few feet from Tawnie. I feel a jolt of pain in my front right leg and I try not to cry out but fail. I push myself up to my paws but pain shoots back through my leg and I slump back to the ground, shaking slightly.

I look towards Tawnie and inch towards her, dragging my paw and trying not to move it or let anything touch it. I keep watching her. "I'm okay." I say slowly, testing the words cautiously before repeating them again.

Tawnie watched Tyson's happy demagogic falter, she tilted her head slightly. He slowly receded off Kiara's head and jumped to the ground, he cried out in pain. Tawnie immediately stood up and walked over to him as he tried to stand but his paw must have hurt really bad. He inched towards her and she sat him down "No, you hurt it you cant do that it will make it worse!" she explained. She looked at his paw, it was a little swollen but not bad, but she was no expert. She turned her gaze to Kiara "Kiara can you look at his paw?" She asked and she turned her attention back to Tyson "I don't think you broke it though, abut i dunno for sure" She could tell she was different now, acting a bit more adult, but She did care about him and she didn't want him to hurt too much, that wouldn't be very good.

Tawnie licked his forehead to comfort him and she giggled "We are both Zombies now" She giggled to lighten up a little. She looked at Kiara who had stood up, and boy was she big! Her head gave her some shade, but Tawnie was relatively small for a lion since she has had no nourishment, not being able to hunt very well and all and being orphaned didn't help either. "Wow am I gonna be as big as you, Kiara?" She asked in awe.

Kiara's face scrunched up as Tyson placed his paw between her eyes and jumped down letting out a painful cry, slightly stunned her had jumped from there she was frozen to her place as Tawnie sat him down and licked his forehead. She commented and observed his injured paw, and asked Kiara, who had more experienced with injuries if it was ok. "Yes, I will take a look at it. She stood up towering over the cubs and leaned down to look at his swollen paw, it wasn't broken, or fractured. He either twisted it, sprained it, or did something to the muscle. SHe looked closer, to double check, and she noticed it was looking a bit odd. It was twisted, but really bad.

She heard Tawnie comment on her size asking if she. too would be as big as Kiara was. She looked at the cub and realized, she was smaller than most cubs her age were. She was most likely undernourished "I am afraid you won't be as big as me, but you, too, will grow to be of a decent size" She answered honestly Tawnie didn't seem to bothered by it, she just went back to talking to Tyson

"I bet you will have a really pretty mane when you grow up, Ty"

She picked that up from Tawnie, how sweet, Kiara knew very well, these cubs clearly would do fine on their own, they would take care of each other, but if they ever needed help, she would be more than happy to help them. Kiara sat down and listened to them intently.

I listen to them and then follow Nee Nee's gaze up to Kiara, blinking in shock at the massive lioness before turning back to Tawnie and comparing them carefully. I pinned my ears back
