Takhi

Takhi slowly lowered her body into the shadowy waters of the Chikot Swamp until only her eyes and nostrils were visible above the water. Her dark green scales merged with the dark water making it seem as if the swamp and reptile was one. Takhi sunk lower into the water to where she was nearly invisible to any possible prey items on the bank. She waited in the murky water by the bank waiting for her next meal to come and drink. Takhi waited for what seemed like years before she had to come back up for air.

She was frustrated. Today was a great day for hunting. The air was humid from the heat of the sun mixing with the swampy water. Of course it couldn't be worse than the Miteel Desert. Though usually during the hot months of the year, Takhi would of at least heard the scattered footsteps of some small morsel running from another hungry predator like Takhi. But, to her dismay, there was no such evidence of life in the swamp today. Perhaps they had left due to Takhi's presence? Or maybe just waiting out the heat of the day and planning on coming out during night. Either way, Takhi was starving and, one way or another, was going to quell her hunger.

So what else could she do other than turn her sights on smaller, less filling prey. It wasn't that she didn't like hunting fish, it was just that Takhi knew she could take down a full-grown deer if she got the chance. Wasting her strength on measly fish seemed lazy to her. Exhaling deeply in annoyance Takhi submerged herself once more and began to scout out the likely places that a fish would seek refuge in.

"haha mud you're not gonna get me stuck again!" Kitty said proudly as she walked qiuckly among the sticky gooey mud, Sholanta had old her to move quickly in sticky mud and it work pretty well so far. Kitty was this little white powder-puff that almost everyone loved, She knew the majority of the animals and was quite adventurous, although this was this first time in a while she had left the forest were she met her newest friend Riley. Even thought the swamp was a bit of a danger for kitty she didn't care she lived on the edge, but she knew how to survive so she was never concerned.

What caught her attention was something rising out of the water momentarily and submerging again, was it the gator Sholanta she had met a while ago. she waled speedily to the bank and looked around "Sholanta are you here?" She asked with her fuzzy pointed ear perked in the direction she heard the water be disturbed. Thinking it was her imagination she quickly went to the grass, panting. Today was a nice warm day but she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched by something. It was a creepy.

Below the water's surface yielded nothing, just like the swamp above water. Did Takhi miss a swamp-wide memo to abandon the muddy mess today? The alligator circled back around underwater and headed back to the place she was resting at minutes earlier. Maybe during the time she had been hunting some wary creature had finally come to the waters edge to quench their thirst. Takhi resurfaced a few lengths away from where she first submerged and noticed what seemed to be a small white ball of fur moving towards the bank.

She sank the bulk of her body underwater, only leaving her eyes and nostrils visible. If she played her cards right she could possible be feasting on whatever this strange puffball was. Takhi slowly moved through the water. The closer she got, the more it seemed like the little creature was searching for something or someone. She heard the white ball of fur call out, asking if Sholanta was here. Now Takhi had no idea who Sholanta was, but she did know that if this Sholanta character was in the water she would of noticed.

She lifted her scaly head out of the water just enough so she could communicate with the white animal. "The one you call Sholanta is not here," Takhi said. She didn't let her voice echo the usual coldness that came with being an alligator. Naturally, she exhibited the coldness that most alligators showed to creatures not of their kind. But Takhi enjoyed company now and then and it had been awhile since she had had any encounters with others of her kind. And this little powder-puff, though normally viewed as food by Takhi, might ease some of the loneliness she had been experiencing recently.

Kitty saw something rise and fall in the water it was an alligator but not the one she knew she scrambled away from the water "The one you call Sholanta is not here,"[/i] Kitty starred at her "I-i-i can s-s-see That" She said her voice was shaky because she knew well most gators were danger to a small fluff like herself. She sat against a tree keeping her eye on the gator. Kitty eased up a little keeping in mind the she was very fast and smart, and she was a little trickster, all those years of being a troublemaker. She also knew how to be cocky, something she learned from her friend Shomari. She sat down and fluffed out her thick fur to look bigger.

Kitty was going to hold the tough girl act as she watched Shomari do...only he was acting like a tough man...either way she was going to try and act bold, but it might to work and get her eaten. She grinned and tried to act Normal "Hi! I am Kitty what's Your name?" she asked she was full of energy now and was trying not to focus on her fear. She bounced around a little bit "how can you stand these waters, isn't hard to see, do you have any friends are you a lonely gator?" Kitty asked she was rambling She tilted her head and smiled a kind sweet smile one she used a lot to gain friends
