The large brute navigated his way through the roots and brush, enjoying the coolness of the woods. A blanket of mist clouded the area he now occupied, making his figure seem like that of a lost ghost. He traveled silently, his pads covering up nearly every sound his swift movement would have made otherwise. The treetops and suspended water droplets provided an incredible relief from the heat of the day that was rapidly coming upon him.
Stopping for a quick moment to survey the land around him, he found little of interest. There were a few squirrels chattering fearfully in the trees, and the birds had instinctively flown away at the first sign of his arrival. Huffing in boredom, the large male continued forward through the trees at a slow trot without any real destination.
Halting once more, he perked his ears forward, straining for a certain, familiar sound. Grinning in satisfaction, his bulky, pure white form raced around trees, through brush, and over fallen trunks, towards the calming sound of running water. The burning feeling that came as he pushed himself to his greatest speeds was a feeling he welcomed. Running was one of the few joys he had in life. To this brute, there was nothing like the appeasement of the wind swishing through his fur, or the ease with which he flew over the ground so smoothly, it seemed like he didn't even touch ground.
Finally reaching a small creek, he ceased his running. The arctic wolf was extremely fit, so there was no need for him to stop and catch his breath after such a short sprint. Sauntering to the edge of the tiny stream, he sunk his paws in, enjoying the cool water trickling between his toes.
Looking down, the brute peered into a pair of colorless, solemn eyes- the reflection of his own. A meager amount of light managed to fight its way through the filtering treetops, playing across water and snow-white fur to create a scene that could be described as entrancing.
In a sudden burst of sadness and anger, a huge, white paw crashed into its reflection, ruining the image that previously graced the water. For some unexplainable reason, confusion had come crashing down upon his usually-stable mind, muddling his thoughts and clouding his judgment. Plodding to a mostly-hidden spot underneath a low-hanging tree, the brooding wolf plopped onto the earth, resting his massive head on proportionate paws.
Helaku hated being confused. ________________________________________________________________________________ word count: 415 muse: struggling mood: saddish note: My first post here! It's really not that great, because my muse has been dead lately. Can't wait to RP with one of you cool people. xD

Kitty skipped happily through the eerie forest despite she had gotten lost here she remembered to 'leave a trail' for her to follow back out so she was content that and it was in the middle of the day. The forest was still a little misty but otherwise she felt oddly safe she hummed a cheerful lively tune as she skipped past trees and pondering eyes that wanted the small fox for lunch but dared not show themselves she was content. She smiled at every bird, squirrel, and rabbit that passed by her and her good mood grew with every small animal she saw for some reason but she couldn't put her paw on it but she didn't really care about uit at all she was fine in her own little world with no enemies or so she thought.
Kitty was a weird fox most foxes were afraid of animals such as wolverines, wolves, bears.., and bigger dos, humans especially but Kitty out of all the foxes in the world actually loved everyone..except bears. she never really thought of meeting any though but fate thought she should as that's what was about to happen anyway and Kitty was totally unaware of his presence but she still had a ways to go to actually even smell him so for now she was happy and calm. nothing could scare the crazy little fox now, except maybe a bear. of cause one did scare her as he came grunting and growling out of the trees and kitty being the little white ghost she is stood out like a fruit-loop in a bowl of cheerios a big fat green fruit-loop "uh oh" kitty whispered and slipped away quietly luckily the bear hadn't noticed her which was odd, maybe he wasn't paying attention to the surroundings Kitty was very lucky indeed.
After the bear encounter she picked up a scent..of a wolf she followed and saw him a big white wolf with pretty eyes she recognized it immediately "arctic wolf" she whispered very quietly she she ducked down in the shrubs he could be aggressive, though he didn't seem like it he was standing in a babbling creak letting the cold water flow over his paws and toes he seemed to like it, the next thing he did scared Kitty he threw his paw into the water as if he was extremely angry it didn't scare her enough to make her jump and yelp but it did make her consider that he was aggressive, until he looked confused "c'mon dude whats the issue" she whispered again almost inaudible. Finally she stood up.
Hi um mister?" was all she could think of he was so.. BIG, Kitty felt like an ant compared to him "w-wow your big" she murmured "I am uh Kitty an arctic fox clearly" she mumbled she hated feeling this small so she kept her distance in case he tried to bite off her puny little head "Um whats your name" she said giving him a nice warm smile she wanted to be his friend and hopefully he wouldn't mind being a puny fox's friend she was mostly worried he would want to be a foe so Kitty was a little nervous she didn't know much about wolves so she felt a little out of place was the word she would use.

Helaku had been wallowing in his confusion under the drooping tree in peace. He didn't know if this was a curse or a blessing, because even though he thrived in loneliness, the lack of a distraction only made things worse. Ever since the loss of his family, the wolf had been suffering with his identity. The sudden change he went through was like a shock to his system, and he didn't know how to cope with it. Very occasionally, this confusion would settle into his system more so than usual, causing some sort of uncharacteristic behavior, if only for a moment.
He smelled the scent of the little fox before he heard or saw her, but he chose to ignore her presence. He sensed that she was heading in his direction, which was a surprise. Most creatures tended to stay away from wolves. Perhaps she has not yet picked up my scent, he thought. Why else would a fox venture towards an unknown wolf? Even though he had no intentions of harming her unless she provoked him, he was still higher on the food chain.
His curiosity was aroused, but he chose to avoid acting upon it. Meeting others was not his specialty, because he had been alone for so long. Chances were, she would see him and leave.
Apparently, this day was against chance. Lifting his head as the fox approached and spoke to him, he stared at her expectantly. Was there a reason she had disturbed his solemn thinking? He chuckled inwardly at the arctic fox's reaction to his size. Next to him, she was rather puny, and she was obviously intimidated. He watched quietly as she stumbled through her words. His colorless eyes usually gave his daunting gaze the appearance of an intent stare, and this case was no different. Many a creature became anxious under his watchful orbs, through no fault of his own. He did not mean to frighten them, but he could not change his appearance.
As the vulpine female introduced herself, the wolfen male could not help but think how fitting her name was. She did have a certain resemblance to a few of the felines he had seen in his three years. When Kitty ended her introduction, asking for one in return, he stayed silent for a few moments, still studying her.
At last, he opened his maw and allowed the nearly unfamiliar voice to spill from his lips. "And you are small," he commented, first returning the remark on his size. "My name is Helaku."
Somehow, his voice still sounded musical, despite the lack of use. The soft tone he used with the fox was the same one he had always used. His words were laced with the same calm, patient maturity that could be seen in his eyes. The large brute was not one to bother hiding himself with deception and falseness; rather, his heart was "on his sleeve", and his intentions were easy to read.
After voicing the mandatory introduction, the wolf became silent once more. He did not wish to be rude, but speaking little and listening more was simply a custom of his. After all, one could never take back words once they were said. ________________________________________________________________________________ word count: 549 muse: decent mood: tired. note: 'Ello, kitteh! :3 I do not mind short posts, either, unless they are those ones that are like, three lines. Kitty tilted her head slightly in await for his response. He seemed rather shocked she actually approached him let alone spoke to him hos awkward silence was kinda funny she knew she wasn't intimidating she was link a cat standing next to a human compared to him maybe that's why she had her name she was so small she looked like a cat she was small even for a yearling sometimes other animals thought she was still only a baby but she wasn't her size was intimidating the her maybe cause she would make a quick and easy snack. her attention slowly came back as she realized he still hadn't answered her questions he just started his colorless eyes glued to her it made her worry that he was thinking about eating her but he look curious
Kitty sighed she wasn't intimidated anymore she was getting bored and then he answered first he commented on her size and then gave her his name "heh" kitty chuckled "yes i am pretty small...i guess that's how i got my name" she replied back he still stared she crossed her light gold eyes to look at her nose "is there a bug on my nose?" she muttered and tilted her head she looked pretty silly but she didn't care at all. she shook her head and starred at him back like they were having a staring contest his confused and sad behavior puzzled her but maybe he didn't have a good past maybe his was a nightmare thinking of this she felt bad for him maybe he lost his family but she had no clue for all she knew he was just plain weird not Kitty weird either. she ignored her thoughts thinking on how lucky and unfortunate she was.
Kitty couldn't remember if she had brothers and sisters or even who her parents were or where they lived if they were still alive the only family kitty had was the ocelot who adopted her who was now long gone. SHomari, who was kinda like a brother to kitty, she learned some odd things from him like his bragging and showing off that was a little something she picked up from the fennec fox. She turned her attention back to Helaku who still hadn't spoken "wow your quiet" Kitty commented she was too but she usually didn't speak unless spoken to she only spoke on her own terms when meeting other animals and when they didn't talk much "I'm not intruding on anything cause if i am I'll leave if you want me too" she said trying to be nice and maybe that's why he wasn't talking she was barging in on his own little world and privacy and Kitty didn't want to be considered rude since she hated rude animals herself.

The change in the small fox's mood was apparent, and Helaku felt bad that he seemed to be boring her, though it had been her choice to approach a stranger. It confused him when the fox began making faces. What exactly was she doing? Showing his pearly white teeth slightly in a small, wolfish grin, he watched as Kitty tilted her head. She looked rather silly, and he hadn't understood her question. A bug? There wasn't one that he could see. Why would she ask... oh. Realizing that his staring was probably what made her ask such a random, odd question, he averted his eyes to the creek, then back to her minute frame.
Reminding himself that he didn't have to be so on guard around such a small creature (after all, how in the world could she possibly bring him any harm?), he tried to loosen up and become relaxed. A wave of discomfort washed over the snow-colored brute. He wasn't sure how to go about the whole business of making friends. With his family, they had all been close from the start. He had never needed outside aid, and there was rarely an occasion when the pack socialized outside of their own. With them, he felt safe and secure- happy with the knowledge that he'd always have somebody there to help him if he was in danger... but now, he was alone. He didn't have that self-confidence or assurance that it would all be okay. Trying to brush away the feelings that invaded his mind, he focused his attention back to the little fae, reminding himself not to stare quite so much.
The tiny vulpine creature commented on his lack of words, and he felt guilty for being so... rude, even though his actions were only going along with his nature.
"I apologize, miss," he said, lowing his crown humbly. "You aren't intruding. I'm being rude, I know, but I hope you'll forgive me. I have not spoken to any others for the longest time; you'd be surprised at the strangeness of it." Pausing once more at the alien feeling of words flowing from his lips, he waiting a moment before continuing. "I've only just come to this land. Could you tell me, what is it called?"
Remembering to change his gaze, he looked around indifferently, having noted everything in this spot before the fox's presence even became known to him. Satisfied that he could look at her once more without it being considered staring, his colorless eyes focused on her once more, with much less scrutiny than before. ________________________________________________________________________________ word count: 445 muse: Slow... mood: Bleh. note: Sorry this took me forever plus a day. Kitty listend to the wolf he continued to stare se felt uneasy why was he staring ather wasnt that still cosidered rude? Was there a big fat booger hanging out of her nostrilshe licked her upper lip to make sure there wasn't and tere was nothing, was she drooling from hunger she made her way to the creek she lookd fine was she acting to wierd for a wolf? Kitty wasn't sure she turned her attention back to the wolf He looked at the creek then back at her and she chuckled nervously maybe he does want to eat me Kitty thought but she wasn't going to make assuptions she repeated what assuption sounded like pulled apart ass you me. she wasn't much on cursing but it was true that was assume when it wasn't together. She sighed from relife when he spoke and not of eating her that was good hopefully.
He noted she was't intruding and that he was being rude and kitty had to agree but not with his weird silence but his staring she knew he didn't find her attractive she shuddered that would be weird she figure she confused him or he was very hungry and is considering on having vixen for dinner she shudered again and shook off her negitive thoughts "I have not spoken to any others for the longest time; you'd be surprised at the strangeness of it" he said inturupting her thought goo sh wanted to escape her thought "oh." was all she could say He wanted her to clarify where they were "umm arden forest something like that" she answered not 100% sure "I don't particually like tis forest either gives me goosebumbs" Kitty shuddered. She looked at a butterfly fluttering by when she finnished speaking crossing her eyes as it landed on her nose "now there is a bug on my face" Kitty commented as the butterfluy starred back at her, and she noticed him gaze around the forest and turned his attention back at her well at least he wasn't starring.
