Love game intuition;; play the cards with spades to start And after he's been hooked, I'll play the one that's on his heart
Lurid silhouettes outlined every tree and frond and stone. The silver crescent in the sky hung contentedly in the indigo wash above, like the grin of a Cheshire cat. Arden forest was haunted by a strange, and eerily noiseless soundtrack. It's repertoire that night seemed sadly depleted, as the only mutters audible in the more damp part of the woods were the chitters of crickets. And even they, tending to be more partial to the drier parts of the forest, were only backround noise. Muted, as if under a woolen blanket, their faint calls of "ree-irt, ree-irt!" registered only in the back of the mind. All else was silent as a graveyard.
Delicate, curling, tendrils of mist embraced the low-strung mangrove roots that littered the area, protruding out of the fog like greedy fingers connected to swollen, brown stomachs. A splash! Ker-plunk! Came the sound of something landing in one of Rand River's many runoffs.
A rustle of feathers.
A flurry of movement, and a drip, dripping of water.
A gentle zephyr sending young cattails scudding across the water.
And the forest resumed its normal hush.
From the lowest limbs of a mangrove tree, two jet jewels glimmered in the darkness, about twenty feet above the still-shuddering surface of the stream. Two mottled wings unfurled and reached horizontally out into the night; appearing quite daemonic. A quick dip of her speckled head, and a flash of her golden beak in the pearly radiance filtering in from the foliage above, accompanied the sound of a sickening crunch. Wet smacking, and the faint scraping of her talons at work cut through the quiet scene like a scimitar through bone and flesh. A hollow noise of talon grasping and grinding against bark drifted around for only a moment or two, and then halted abruptly.
The empty shell of a crayfish head floated down through the blackness, its spectral color flashing now and then as it twirled downwards in the moonlight, and splished! into the water. It's clean, papery carcass pirouetted down after it, and sunk with a similar effect to the bottom of the creek. The current tugged indolently at it, and it rocked back and forth, attracting the attention of several flighty, gray minnows. They swarmed instantly like bees, their coy charade cast aside as they chewed voraciously at what little shreds were left attached to shell.
Meanwhile, still sitting in the boughs above, the avian creature shuffled in a rather satisfied manner. She ruffled and shook her plumage, allowing the feathers to first raise up like the hackles on an angry wolf, and then settle flat again. She cooed softly to herself, and ran her oiled beak through her primaries a few times.
Suddenly, upon hearing another sound among her stagnant surroundings, the barred owl flipped her head around to face it, and tightened her ear slits to take in the noise. Her third eyelids slid across her optics out of habit, and her already superb vision increased. Kass was in her element, and in a good mood. She would let nothing threaten her at the moment.
"Hello?" she churred softly, clicking her tongue as was the well known accent of her kind, "Who approaches?" Can't read my Can't read my No he can't read my || p o k e r f a c e

Isil.Zheha Who am I? I'm not the Devil, I can take you to my level, above the rocks above the Earth...Tell me what your Soul is worth. .x. The state of pure delirium clouded one's mind for ages after or before it even shows itself to the public. Not that I was delirious nor crazed. No no no, I was simply as I was. I traversed the lands, not a single bone in my bodice weary, not a single muscle strained, not a single fang left clean. I had the blood of many upon my paws. I flicked my slender tail, the mist surrounding me and pressing in upon me thickly. My hindquaters pounced back and forth, and my rounded, worn ears flickered, swiveling to capture any sound. I heard nothing but the faint shuffle and crick of the trees that stood so dense before me and around me. I was not a big forest traveler, but tonight I could make an exception. The skies were black, the slender crescent of the moon lighting whatever it could through the treetops. The moonlight-bathed rocks were shadowed slightly, but where they were not they shone with a surreal light. I observed my surroundings well, pupils dilating to catch whatever light they could. I was a slender, thin-pelted feline used to these types of lands. I had at least some idea to of what I was doing. I was not new to these lands, but I wasn't too familiar with them. My bleak, dark facade dipped down, nares pressing close to the ground. The crickets were quiet, trying to be silent. As if hiding from some sort of colossal beast. The mist was particularly darker underneath the shade of the trees, and the base of many were unseen until I got close. I disliked that claustrophobic scene. I was not one for guessing what may be lying hidden behind the cloak of gray-white fog. I let my ears shift to the sides, my body stopping and crania lifting to the winds. I heard the faint trickling of water, and it was only until I heard it that I felt slightly parched for the first time in a while of traveling. I let my limbs press onward, and I plodded forth with my movement, slinking silently like the predator that I was. I moved through the trees, each paw step more silent than the last. I moved like a shadow, and as my shoulder came to press against the tree trunk, I watched the dark waters flow with an almost soothing sound. I paid it no heed, and I was just about to move forth when a shadow elapsed into a shadow.
.x. I watched the form move with lightning quickness to the water's surface, scraping beneath and catching something. The form moved back up into a tree near the waters. Apparently the creature had seen what I could not, and for that I did not care. I simply crouched down beside the foliage around me, watching upward. My eyes need not to adjust, for I was born into this lifestyle, accustom to the darkness. I almost welcomed it, preferring night to day. This was beside the point. The creature above was obviously a bird, a night bird to be exact. Must have been an owl, but to of which it was was unknown to me. I simply turned to the waters that still rippled, disturbed by the quick, almost effortless hunt of the predator. I flicked my tail, letting it touch nothing so as not to startle the creature. The silence was inevitable, yet it was cleanly broken by the crunch of something, the scraping of claws or talons, and a wet smacking sound. To a herbivore's ears that would appear to be disgusting, and might drive off that beast that was listening, yet that was not I. I ignored it and silently crept up to the edge of the stream. I dipped my maw down, belly close to the ground and shoulders tense. My limbs were seperated, ready to retaliate against anything that might decide to attack. I proceeded to drink from the stream, and after a few flashes of my tongue my thirst was quenched for the time being. Just as I lifted my head the sounds from the flying predator stopped. Like someone had just turned it off with a quick snap of their wrist.
.x. I saw a flash at the corner of my bright amber hues. My head turned sharply, eyes widening and pupils dilating, almost welcoming a hunt. It was only the shell of a crayfish. Was it a crayfish shell? Must have been, for it's other half floated down with a small splash into the waters. I watched as it floated deeper. I turned to look up at the tree. It was the next one over that the aerial beast must have been within, for it was not above me. Obviously. I lifted myself from my crouching position and turned toward the source of the obstruction of silence. My rounded audits flickered, the silence becoming palpable. I never let my optics blink, for fear of the outlined creature fleeing. Perhaps it would not, yet most did if they were smaller than I. And if this was indeed a bird, which it most obviously must be, it would be smaller in comparison. Maybe not mentally, but physically. Looks can be decieving, though. This I learned over the years. However I may ramble in my thoughts, this was a thing worth investigating. I stopped at the base of the tree, looking at the branch. My ears twitched, perking up when the owl began to croon a tune to itself. It was a quiet undertone among all the other sounds, and it blended well with the moving waters and chirping crickets. This owl, and I was sure it was such, was unknown. Yet it was meat, and I realized I was hungry. Perhaps I would play with this one. My devious, darker side began to play itself a big role upon my actions, and my eyes flashed with the opportunity at twisting another's mind with fear. Well, I had no idea whom this owl was, but who's to say I couldn't try? At the thought, my hind legs began to shift back and forth as I readied myself to launch up into the tree. It was also then that my left hind limb came down upon a twig, small in size. It broke the twig, and the sound was small, faint, and would remain nonexistant to any creature not attune to anything about them. Though this was a hunter I was talking about, a natural-born bird that would catch many sounds that I myself would not. And it was thus that this owl caught the sounds, for I was looking up and saw the shadow move and a voice came into the air.
.x. 'Hello? Who approaches?' It was a female, this owl. I wasn't about to respond anytime soon. Though I knew it must have been the twig that set the bird off. I was about to leap into the tree, and that was also when I heard the flutters and the sound of yet another voice. 'Be not alarmed, friend. I am like you. My calling is Tetsuuta. And if I'm not mistaken we're not to be alone, are we?' The shriek came to my ears way before the other femora's vocals did. I flicked my tail. Oh, another owl. This just kept getting better and better. I spoke not a word, made not a sound as I positioned myself once more and pushed off my hind legs. My claws slid out, paws tensing and claws curling as I gripped the bark and easily made my way up. I was lighter than a leopard, and my most welcoming attribute was my ability to climb trees. I dwelled in it, actually. I made my way up to the second branch, or so it was on my side. The branch was on the other side of the trunk, and it seemed the first branch was on the other. I looked across the trunk to see an owl indeed, large eyes watching. It was a barred owl, I could see now. I flicked my tail, yet still did not say a word. The other owl had landed closer to the first one on the scene. I looked over at her. Both were females. Both were birds. Owls. I, myself, was a fossa. I tilted my crania, lip twitching, if you could call it that. My ears moved to the side and I just looked back and forth between them. My bodice leaned forth, toward them. I was getting hungrier by the second, but I fought the urge to leap and try and take out my prey. I could fight that urge probably more expertly than could another. I slipped around my branch, leaping with grace to a thicker one which sat behind the two owls, above them. I crouched upon it, claws gripping loosely but not carelessly. In case if they took flight. I didn't much like getting stuck in tree limbs. I looked down upon them both, just watching with a blank face. Well, mostly blank. ----------------------------- Muse;; Medium. Coulda done better. Tetsuuta-Song of Peace-"Be not alarmed, friend," came the reply in the language the barred owl was most familiar with. "I am like you," the eerie voice came again from the silvery shrouds of mist. The voice was of a female's, seeming to float and dance through the air, then finally sweep into the owl's ear slits. Only a yard away two shining, obsidian eyes shimmered a goodness of soul.
Those shining eyes contrasted with a most pale and ghostly face imaginable; white and heart shaped, with a fleshy pink beak hanging out of a down-like fluff of feathers. The feathers around her eyes were slightly different from the rest of her face, being a light chestnut. The new owl's appearance was frightening, like a phantom in the fog.
The screech that her beak made was unearthly and disturbing, like the song of the unnatural. It was like a song, drawn out like the howl of the lonely, desolate wolf. It added to the feeling of mystery and foreboding that already hung heavily in the air.
The silver of the crescent sliver of a moon shone down unto her feminine, slender features, casting an undead appearance to the fully alive barn owl.
"My calling is Tetsuuta," the chime came again, a sound that would send chills down the spine of most. She ruffled her golden chestnut colored feathers, then nodded toward the earthen ground, fairly unfamiliar to the mind of an avian. Smoothing the feathers against her body, she called out to the owl in a much louder screech, "And if I'm not mistaken we're not to be alon, are we?" -Sing with me, my song of peace- [[Oh, it seems while I was half finished my post and I went to work on other things you've posted. No matter, I fixed my post fairly accordingly I hope. There are no problems with it?]]

What is a Juggalo? A dead body. Well he ain't really dead... but he ain't like anybody that you've ever met before. He'll eat monopoly, and shit out connect four!
A voice, clear as a bell, brushed chilling eddies along her spine. While it was an eerie, and slightly alarming sound, its melodious rhythm gave her pleasure. Kassandra shuffled slightly, and turned to see a barn owl's heart-shaped face tilted towards her. She had forgotten that there were other creatures as silent as her. How skillfully she had been approached! The young bird dipped her head in reply to the introduction. "Mine is Kassandra," the barred owl returned.
Her mind processed the second part of Tetsuuta's statement. Her eyes blinked, and her cranium swiveled upwards now to finally attend to the other noise she'd heard. She was not alarmed, However, she was curious. What was that, looking down at her? Its fur was as brown as earth, and it had claws as sharp as her own talons. However, its face had an oddly lemur-like quality. "Greetings," she chuffed tersely, registering that a hungry gleam shone in the depths of those feline optics.
Her eyes narrowed, but she clamped her beak shut before she could hurl a sharp remark. Instead, she settled on a more teasing approach. Yes, it seemed better to attempt friendship before rivalry. "You look terribly famished, but I'm sorry to tell you.. I am no steak." Holding up a golden leg, her curved daggers flexed to emphasize her point.
"However," she added as a wry smirk twisted the more flexible edges of her beak, "There are some tasty morsels in that creek. And.." her ear slits dilated, and her head swung around as she gestured with her beak, "there seems to be a rather plump sounding fellow clumping along down there. I say this not out of concern for my own health, but for yours; I am no one to be trifled with." Her mud-brown gems shimmered under the light of the moon, emitting amusement and curiosity.
She stretched out her wings again, shaking her feathers lightly before folding them once more against her sides. The crayfish, while quite juicy, had not quite filled her stomach. Kass angled her head downwards, and tightened her ear slits to try and catch the sound of prey. After a second snack, her hunting for the night would be complete, and she would be contented by a conversation with the two other creatures present. A vole would be nice, she thought ravenously, flexing her talons against the crisp wood of the bough as she scanned the area deftly.
What is a Jug- Wtf? Connect four?!
ooc- Isilzheha, you are amazing. I don't know anybody who's ever used ICP lyrics in an RP. Haha

Isil.Zheha Ticket, please, thanks, walk through the doors into the Halls of Illusions visit yours. And see what could've, should've, would've been real....but you had to fuck up the whole deal. .x. The chilling specter of an owl was staring with unblinking hues. Her eyes were like coals, eternally burning in the night with a fiery passion none could ever possibly deplete. Certainly not a creature such as I. I flicked my tail, lying upon the branch most comfortably. I watched the barred owl turn to the barn owl, most recently identified as Tetsuuta. The first oranism upon this tree spoke to her, speaking her calling. 'Mine is Kassandra.' Kassandra and Tetsuuta. My own dubbing was not known to these avian creatures of the night. Not that that in itself was an entire. Many did not know my name. Mostly because I skipped the preliminaries and went for the kill. Normally I was more laid back these days, yet it was times and nights such as thus that brought out my wicked, devious side. The side I most relished in for it got me much amusement. I simply remained where I was, watching them. I was contemplating dropping down upon the branch, toward the trunk. My weight would be great, but not possibly as great as to snap or bend the branch more than usual. I was thinking about it. A bird's bones were hollow for flight, or so I had learned. Of course, birds weren't my most hunted prey, so I knew only little of them. I knew enough, however, to get me through famines and tough times. Beside the point. Here I was, laying upon a branch and rambling in my thoughts. Not preferred.
.x. I flicked my tail and continued my silent gazing at the two birds. The moonlight silkily poured through the treetops, and my eyes collected enough to glow eerily. An auburn color with a bit of greenish-white whenever my eyes flickered back to the barred owl known as Kassandra. My rounded ears swiveled, and I watched as the creature moved her own head, looking up at me. There was a quizzical expression within her eyes, but no fear. Of course. It was to be expected that one of her kind would not fear the looming creature above with paws bigger than their head. It was only natural, for all three of us were natural born predators, taught to be cautious but not fear the unknown or what may be bigger. Or smaller. 'Greetings.' Her tone was blunt and gruff, and I tilted my head with a mock look of surprised hurt. My devious side was beginning to bleed over my sensible, more calmer and most preferred side. Just as well. I had traveled long and alone for the most part, encountering very little creatures that did not see me and simply turn the other way and walk. Who's to say I couldn't have fun this night? "Ooh such hostility. Or maybe annoyance. Whichever, it truly does hurt my feelings." I spoke in a deep, hissing voice that was almost raspy but ominously melodic. I nodded my head slowly with furled eyebrows, as if emphasizing the 'hurt'. Pity that I couldn't meet other creatures as valiant as these two owls. Most instinct was to simply fly off and leave the tree to find another and cause little trouble for either party. But this party was just about to begin. I could tell. I wiped the fake look off my facade, adopting a smug, amused look. Even better, right? When in doubt, laugh in the face of the other. I grinned at the thought. Ah what fun this night was beginning to turn out. And I had barely spoken to them but two sentences.
.x. I let my crania fall upon my head, still watching Kassandra. Outside of what Tetsuuta had spoken, she had not spoken since, so she was of no concern to me. I simply watched as Kassandra narrowed her piercing orbs at me, and I smirked darkly at the expression. Nice to know I can inflict some other emotion besides fear. Anger was hard to provoke in some creatures. All's well, I suppose. It seemed the barred owl had adopted a more teasing and taunting tone, but still with that rough edge of malice. 'You look terribly famished, but I'm sorry to tell you.. I am no steak.' I flicked my tail, watching with flashing eyes as she lifted a talon and flexed it. Ah, indeed they were sharp and made for tearing under the flesh, yet I was not afraid. I had a couple scars from owls upon my shoulders and chest. I nodded my head and lifted my own paw, letting my own claws slide out. The rust-colored blood was stained deeply, and would never come off, but that coloring could not be seen. I inspected my own claws, which were pretty much the same size as Kassandra's talons, yet mine were more jagged. Made for better infliction of pain. I let my paw drop and I grinned down at the bird once more. "Mincemeat. I hope that wasn't a threat." I quirked a brow, speaking in my deep, gravelly, ominous vocals. It was inquisitive, my tone, for I was just waiting for something. I flexed my flanks, shifting my position upon the branch as a breeze swept through. It floated across my back, stinking with a pleasant, fresh smell. Technically it would not be stinking, would it? Oh well. My thoughts were not linked with each other for the most part. Who knew what I could be thinking.
.x. 'However, there are some tasty morsels in that creek. And.. there seems to be a rather plump sounding fellow clumping along down there. I say this not out of concern for my own health, but for yours; I am no one to be trifled with.' She spoke, her voice prominent in my harked audits. I saw that wry little grin upon her beak, and I watched her head motion toward the base of the tree. Her eyes looked back up to me, flashing with stark amusement and inquisitive curiosity. I could understand the amusement, but what was she so curious about? None of my concern. Besides, did she really just play that card? I smirked, chuckling a bit afterword. It was low and deep, in my chest, undertones more or less. I flicked my tail and spoke in very amused baritones,"I am not fond of fishing. And as for our little plump fellow...well. He can wait. A few minutes from now he'll probably be heading north. I just dropped by for a little pit stop. Perhaps I shall get him later." It was the last part of her words that really set me off for a good night. And I was about to say such things. I pushed myself up to full height on the branch, tail swaying in a small rhythm behind me. I let my fore paws stretch down to the other branch, and I swiftly and effortlessly climbed down, coming up beside the perched owl. I fell back upon my haunches. This branch was much wider than the other. I glanced at Tetsuuta, but let my eyes wander back to Kassandra. I let my tail roll around to fall across my hind paws. I was looking down upon the bird, my stature looking intimidating. Well, from a third view below it might look as if I were trying to be intimidating, but I had no intentions. I merely wanted to come closer. finally positioned myself so that I was laying again, my fore paws stretching past the owl so she was closer to my chest. I tilted my head and stated,"You say such things about yourself, and to that I owe credit, but is it that you underestimate me so? I have killed your brethren numerous times over the years. Though...that's not to say I'll kill you. Or try, for that matter. Though you may look tasty, I'll hold my claws for someone else. After all, it's nights like these that I enjoy." I smirked deviously, still looking down at Kassandra as my neck was at full height. Ah, this would most likely get a reaction. But in all honesty, I wasn't going to try and kill these two. I just wanted my fair share of amusement.
.x. I watched her stretch her wings once more. Though with me in the way she might have had to accommodate...or she didn't really care. Didn't matter to me either way. I flicked my tail, my for legs on either side of the barred owl, claws grasping the branch the same way they had the branch above. I tilted my head and watched as the owl turned her own head to gaze across the forest floor. Though it was covered in mist, surely she would have seen something. I know I most likely would...if I were looking. Hunger was set back, however, so it did not matter too much to me if a thousand hares had run by. I wanted to stick around for a little bit.

I've lived one hell of a life, if you're to take it tonight.... I've lived the life of a king
Although Kassandra was fully locked in on her prey now, and ready to dive upon it, she couldn't help but freeze and look up at the big cat again. His face was scrunched up in mock chagrin, and he nodded as if her words had actually offended him. Kass knew better. He seemed to be toying with her, holding his curved weapons up to the moonlight for a closer inspection, which she fully obliged. They glinted with a beautiful, yet astoundingly wicked quality. She couldn't help but notice that they were the same size as hers.. only more ragged, and meant for shredding skin. "Mincemeat. I hope that wasn't a threat," the tom drawled, smirking down at her soon thereafter. Kass couldn't help but smirk back. She rather liked this game.
As he continued to speak of devouring her brethren, she didn't flinch. She had no siblings anymore. Storm had left her side, and she was alone now. "Maybe it was a threat. Do you intend to snack on my liver for it?" She looked up at the towering figure sitting regally at her side. His form was rather impressive, wreathed with muscles and deep marks that implied fights of great force. Her face registered slight shock at seeing him closely now, for he seemed more grand, and striking. But soon the look was replaced by a distracted one, as she heard a rustle of leaves below.
Casting him a roguish wink, she spread the feathers of her tail, and lit off from the branch. Her splattered back moved almost unseen amid the shadow-spangled forest growth, swooping down like a bolt of lightning towards the earth. Down she swung, dropping faster and faster due to her wings half folded in upside-down v's at her side. Now, unfurling her wings like a parachute, and fanning her tail forward, she screeched to a much lower speed while still hovering in midair, and seemed to pass a caressing touch across the dirt, as if stroking the back of a lover. Arcing back towards the tree, the long figure of a king snake dangled from her clasped claws.
Kass landed again in her former spot with a small hop. For a moment, her hunger consumed her, and she forgot about the two others. With just as much rapacious gusto as with the crayfish, she slurped down her catch, letting the whole body slide right down her throat, bones and all. "Mm," she moaned, letting a shudder of pleasure crawl through her blood, "tasty."
I've gave the visions I've got;; I've been told I'm gonna rot inside The Devil's intestines.. I'm still here, holding my spot...
I've just been wondering why.
ooc- Yes, yes. Very appropriate for such a creepy scene with creepy predators. haha. It's like an addiction, I can't stop the trend!

Isil.Zheha Let's Take a Walk Down the Hallway, It's a Long, Way, It Takes All Day... .x. I flicked a chipped, rounded ear, casting a sideways look at the owl. She had seemed just about ready to flee to do other things that sit and play my game, yet she had halted. That counted for something, yes? My snake-like tail slithered across the branch, settling to remain hanging from the branch. The true feline reclining in a tree branch appearance. I tilted my head as I studied her. She smirked back at me as much as her beak would allow. Her round, piercing hues seemed to fill with anticipation. Or maybe I had imagined that. Either way, this was good. She seemed ready to play a pawn in my game of wits. I very much liked those more than the brute force games that others tried to play me in. I won with cunning and precision...and swiftness and deadly teeth and claws. Of course, I could battle anyone to a battle of wits. I generally won. It wasn't rare, that. I watched her, food just waiting between my all too willing limbs. Of course, I had good enough resistance. I watched her as she watched me. Indeed this night would turn out to be decent. Yes indeed it would.
.x. I watched her as she studied me a moment, seeming to weigh my words on her scale of judgement. Just as well. I awaited her reaction, her reply. I flicked my tail, watching her carefully. She looked at me once more, and I honed in on her words. 'Maybe it was a threat. Do you intend to snack on my liver for it?' I grinned darkly, revealing my sharp, stained incisors. I tilted my head and sighed theatrically. "No, actually. I am not particularly susceptible to livers. Though, I could snack upon your head." I grinned devilishly. This was playing along just well. "I like the challenge of breaking through the skull and getting to the good stuff." I quirked a brow, turning my jaw up slightly as if offering something. I tilted my head and watched her silently. The other owl hadn't said anything, so I cancelled her from my thoughts at the moment. For all I knew she flew away into the night from where she came.
.x. I really did quite enjoy the widening of her eyes, if that was possible, when I had presented myself at a front row view. I watched her look up at me with surprise in her eyes. As if she expected me to be any smaller. I almost snorted, but witheld myself. I flicked an ear, listening to the slight rustling. I glanced, but saw nothing. Kassandra saw something I did not. I watched her gaze travel to the source of the rustling. I tilted my head and watched. I watched as she dove gracefully, flitting across the ground and snatching something up. That grin she had given me. Was she challenging me? A test of skill? Hunting skill? Perhaps? Maybe it was the mood I was in, for I was feeling the urge to counteract against her hunting expedition.
.x. I watched her return to her spot, and I watched the snake squirm a bit. I watched on silently as Kassandra eagerly slurped up the snake like it was a noodle. I flicked my tail, listening to her vocals. 'Mm. I quirked a brow, still observing as she shuddered with satisfaction, and she murmured in suit. 'Tasty.' I smirked then, and oozed,"You really know how to tease a beast." I flicked an ear and smirked devilishly at her before standing upon the branch. Swiftly I leaped from the tree, hugging the ground, barely landing on the ground before I started jogging. I crouched closer to the ground, heading north. Where that small rabbit had been. He was out late, that I knew. I flicked my tail and pounced upon the rabbit's nest. I leaped then, snaking a paw through the entrance of the hole. I concentrated, retractable claws sliding out. I found the rabbit briefly afterword.
.x. I felt my claws catch on the furry hide of the prey, and I yanked toward me. A retched little grinding noise came forth, followed by a small cry that would normally have only come from a mouse. This was a rodent, however. I released my claws, and the rabbit bolted toward the tree Kassandra was perched upon. I gained on the wounded prey easily, catching it in my jowls and easily climbing back up the tree. The rabbit struggled, but I simply clenched my jaws into my catch's back, and the rabbit froze up. I smirked daintily and began to gnaw leisurely upon my kill, flashing, glowing hues locked onto Kassandra.
