Life got boring when you were alone. There was no one to entertain you, no one for you to entertain; It was just boring. You couldn't talk except to yourself, which by odd coincidence was what Taria had been doing for quite a while now. Her chirpy voice was the only voice reaching the cat's ears as she trod through the tall grass. The waves of grass brushed her sides, tickling the skin through her thin fur.
"Wonder if anyone is around. They'd probably think I was nuts. But that's alright. I kind of am. I mean, really. I'm talking to myself. How much crazier can you get?" Tabia ranted to herself, nonchalantly talking as if to a friend walking beside her. "At least I know I'm talking to myself. I can hear me, I can sense my mouth opening and closing and words coming out." She sighed and stopped her walking, eyes casting around for any other signs of life. A few gazelles ran the horizon to her right but the cat was not hungry. The two rabbits had been filling enough for her small stomach.
Tabia lifted and dropped her front paws, one at a time, testing the softness of the ground. As the compactness apparently displeased her, Tabia looked around, hoping for some place softer to rest. Up a short slope was a small twig of a tree and a section of grass that had been folded down into a cushioned bed. Tabia instantly darted over the plains, fast as she could, as if someone would come out of no where and take her spot on the bed.
No one had taken the spot and Tabia slowed her pace as she approached the relaxation point. The bed looked even more comfy up close and Tabia wasted no time before giving a brief twirl and dropping to the ground. Her body splayed out in an unlady-like manner, back legs kicked out behind her, front legs holding up her front half. Though, she only remained upright for a moment before simply falling over onto her side.
Without looking too closely, it would be easy to pass over the Cheetah laying in the mid-day sun. Thin as she was, and well as her pelt matched the grass, she was easy to over-look. Of course, if Tabia had realized that, she probably wouldn't have laid down all the way. She was getting lonely.

The Lioness padded through the Plains caring less what animals thought of a lioness that didn't belong to a pride of lions she had a very small pride of two a mountain lion named Gil and herself and that was it. Gil was Kiara's closest friend like a brother to her. She gazed the horizon and let a long drawn out sigh "Dang it gets lonely out here" she muttered "I wonder what Gil is up to right know" she asked herself slowly sitting down to take a small break. Hew rounded ear perked at the sound of a herd of gazelles hooves she immediately stood up and broke into run she gained ground quickly and didn't even see the cheetah she ran by who would have been much faster than she had she been after the prey too. she stopped having no chance of getting dinner sat down and cleaned her self when suddenly the cheetah sped past her for a small shaded area not to far "Whoa" she said her big head following the animal until she could see her just collapse on the ground "Maybe i should talk to it..." She said and sat up. She trotted in the mid-day sunlight towards where the cheetah just plopped on the ground.
"Hey there" Kiara said in a soft voice "Nice day huh?" she asked and sat down hoping she wasn't intruding "Hey you wouldn't have seen a Male Mountain lion by any chance would you?" she asked wondering if Gil had come by the plains "His name is Gil if you come acrss him" she informed the cheetah who was laying on her side. Kiara glanced at her "OH my name is Kiara sorry if i was intruding I just wanted to say 'Hi', if you want me to go i will" she said being respectful to the Female cheetah. "So, what's your name?" She asked waving her tail from sade to side.

Tabia's rounded ears twitched at a sound, light foot steps on the dense ground, brushing roughly through the tall grasses. One brown eye peeked open, meeting the sun and quickly blinking closed again to the harsh light. To avoid a repeat occurance, Tabia sat up on her elbows, suddenly face to face with a tan fem, a young lioness.
"Hey there. Nice day huh?" The Cheetah blinked, staring, confused, at this lioness. Tabia couldn't make heads or tails of this sudden appearance. She could not remember seeing any other creature even close as she made a playful run at her current location. And now this fem suddenly appeared right before her eyes nonetheless. She blinked, simply staring as the cheerful cat continued. "Hey you wouldn't have seen a male mountain lion by any chance would you? His name is Gil if you come across him."
Tabia was slowly realizing her current situation. A stranger, another cat no less, had come upon her in the middle of the previously empty plains. This cat had come to her when she was feeling lonely, when she wanted someone to play with, someone to talk to. A light grin began to creep over Tabia's face.
"OH my name is Kiara sorry if I was intruding I just wanted to say 'Hi', if you want me to go I will. So, what's your name?"
"No, no worries." The cat continued to smile, perfectly happy now that she had a companion to share the day with. "Nice to meet'cha, Kiara. Name's Tabia." She shook her head, releasing the particles of dirt that had been clinging to her short fur. With a wide yawn, her pink tongue stretched out, curling at the tip. As the yawn ended, Tabia blinked her eyes back open to the sun, smiling again at Kiara.
"Oh, right, you asked about that mountain lion. Nah, I haven't seem 'im." Her head lifted, neck straightened to help her look around, over the tall grasses. She could see no other in sight. This time, if she was going to get more company, she wanted to know about it.

The lioness closed her eyes soaking up the heat since she was practically born her she like it, well sometimes but to her it was better than being cold. she turned her brown eye back to the cheetah who now looked confused like the lion had fallen from the sky "Heh you didn't see me did you?" she asked she had never seen such a bewildered animals before "Well i have almost perfect camouflage so sorry for the confusion" she chuckled "Oh Gil might not be here right now if he is here at all but we can keep an eye out for him " she said regarding the cheetah's response the the question Kiara asked earlier "And i like your name it very nice" Kiara like the name the cheetah had though she had no idea where it came from. Kiara soon climbed the small tree and looked at Tabia "Hey" she whispered "Can you fly? I can fly do you want to see who can go further?" she asked laughing at herself, Kiara sounded foolish she knew cats couldn't actually fly but she hopped the cheetah would catch on to what Kiara wanted to do, She wanted to see who could jump the furthest It was like the animal version of leap frog and it seemed like a fun thing to do. Kiara stood on the branch starring at Tabia with her playful look in her eye "So what do ya sat Tabia want to see who can 'Fly' the furthest?" Kiara said again sounding foolish, but cats were smart so maybe Tabia would catch on.

As Tabia scanned the plains for the mountain lion Kiara had referred to, Kiara herself simply seemed to jump topics. She continued on, her light voice sounding in Tabia’s ears. "Heh you didn't see me did you? Well I have almost perfect camouflage so sorry for the confusion." The little lioness was quite cheerful. Tabia relaxed back into her previous stance and grinned. She was really beginning to enjoy this day.
"Oh Gil might not be here right now if he is here at all but we can keep an eye out for him." Tabia kept quiet, perfectly content to just let this female do all the talking. Kiara didn’t seem to mind either. She chattered on like there was no tomorrow. And oddly enough, Tabia was fine with that. She raised her ears, eager to give Kiara an audience.
"And i like your name it very nice."
“Um, thanks?” Tabia tilted her head to the side, curious what was so special about her name. If she had anything to say about it, she would have called her name boring, plain. ‘Kiara’ on the other hand seemed innocent and bubbly, much like Kiara herself. “I like yours too,” Tabia said quickly, before her new friend could start rambling again.
But it wasn’t talking that Kiara suddenly started. Tabia had dipped her head, giving a quick lick over her paw where she had stepped on a thorn earlier in the day, and when she looked up, found no Kiara in sight. The sweet voice called to her from above and Tabia tilted her head up, squinting against the harsh sun, to see the tan cat standing in the tree above her.
"Hey. Can you fly? I can fly do you want to see who can go further?" Okay, so maybe this lioness was a little crazy. If she thought she could actually fly… Well, there might be worse things to think yourself capable of. "So what do ya say Tabia want to see who can 'fly' the furthest?" It was the second time through the ‘flying’ idea that Tabia finally caught the playfulness in her companion. So she wasn’t insane, she just wanted to play. Okay, Tabia could do that.
Tabia grinned again, happy to oblige and let her inner-kitten shine through. She needed some play time. “Why not,” she chuckled, standing and stretching out her limbs. Satisfied that she was thoroughly stretched, Tabia paced around the tree, judging the best way to go about getting up. After circling once, she settled on a spot a few feet from where she had been laying. She couched back and sprang at the branch, pulling herself up gracefully before looking at Kiara. “Okay, what now?” [/blockquote]
