C I N D E R The mist swirled around a young vixen Swift Fox. Her mist-shrouded pelt rippled under the moonlight, emphasizing her muscular frame. Cinder, the young vixen, sat down, licking her paws and gazing around the dark forest. Glowing eyes, ears pricked, body sat upright. Cinder was on full alert, having just came from a huge field and feeling different now that she was surrounded by tall trees. She turned her head to look at the ground for just a moment, and she started to dig with her paws, looking for a few weeds of plants that may be edible to her. She gave up on her impossible search to find food in here. She wasn't familiar with forests, and didn't know where she might find berries or roots to snack on. What she longed for the most was meat, fresh, warm meat. Licking her lips at the thought, Cinder tuned in her ears to her surroundings and parted her gray and black jaws to taste the air. The air was moist smelling, because of the thick mist, and it had the smell of decomposing leaves. Just no meat. Bummer.

VINI You can make it Vini, remember don't every stop. Must kept going, must kept going! Just do it, you've done worse. Okay I might do it! No I can't, but I must. It looks fun, what the heck just do it. I'll jump, it isn't that far. Just um...... yeah head start thats it1 One.... two... three.... four...... FIVE!
Falling is something that Vini does, but this was the best thing that he has ever done in his life. When he jumped a long slide to the bottom was underneath him, sending Vini straight down to the bottom of the forest. He landed with a thump, sending a vibration through the damp ground. Blood trickled down his face, sending pain through his body.AHHHHHH he screamed, eyes red with frustration. Getting up, he licked the blood off his face only to spit it on the ground. Without even looking back, the Maned Wolf ran through the damp forest. Dead leaves made a crackling sound as his paws stepped on them.
He was Running even further in the forest, when his stomach made a large rumbling sound. Not wanting to waste time, so he stopped sniffing for food. He was about to give up when he smelled a deer, running at full speed he attacked the deer ending its life. Eating as fast as he could, he was able to finish half of it. Walking away he saw a small fox with the look of hunger on her face. There is a deer over there if you want some He barked slowing down.

C I N D E RCinder's head whipped around as a barely audible thud was heard. What was that? She didn't have a clue what it was, but it was hard to tell which way was up and which was down in this thick mist, but it cleared a small bit just on cue. Her large ears swiveled back and forth, eyes searching for the caus of the noise. Then after a few seconds, she heard a deafening noise. A scream was emitted into the echoing forest, making the young vixen jump an inch off the forest floor. Wow. Whatever that noise was, it really startled her. Her head whipped back and forth swiftly, eyes scanning every little corner of the trees. Then a strong scent hit her, one of blood, then meat and more blood. Was this her lucky day? Well, it seemed like it, so she went along with it. Not stopping to ponder the probability of this really happening. A Maned Wolf stepped through the clearing mist, and Cinder became nerveous when she smelled fresh meat and saw the blood staining the animals paws and muzzle. Oh... Thanks, you don't want it? She cocked her head slightly, wondering why such a strange creature had offered her a meal so suddenly, and she felt the urge to bolt off towards the kill and dig in. She started to get up slowly, very carefully, and head in the direction of the food. She was slow because he was still in her way, so she didn't want to go charging at him and scare him, he might attack her if he was startled. She took slow, careful steps. Not going to fast and slowly going around the Maned Wolf.

Tetsuuta Song of Peace Swiftly, on silent wings, a female barn owl swept through the canopy, large, bright obsidian eyes scanning the ground for the slightest movement. She turned her head, not her eyes, from side to side, since she couldn't move her eyes themselves. Plus, this helped to catch small sounds many other creatures couldn't hear if they tried. Ba-thump! Tetsuuta's sound-sensitive ears picked up the heart beat of an animal. It was louder than her normal quarry, obviously belonging to a much larger animal. The heart beat picked up speed, as if this animal was scared or excited. The she-owl circled around a few times, before gliding down to some branches further down. Before she had spread her wings apart, and thrust out her talons for the landing, a loud wail, then a thump emitted from the forest below. Tetsuuta let out a screech of surprise, as she canceled her landing, pounding the air furiously with her soft wings. She whipped her head in the direction of the sounds, spotting briefly a canine-like creature before it darted off through the undergrowth. Deciding to follow it, she folded her wings at her sides, and dropped toward the ground. She fell for only a few moments, before re-spreading her wings to lift herself into the air once more. Now she found herself gliding directly above brambles and bushes, ground-dwelling plants. The fleeing canine wasn't too far ahead, as he crashed through the vegetation. She thrusted down with her wings, as to pick up her speed. Suddenly, the creature stopped, then bolted off again toward a significantly larger creature that the owl assumed to be a deer. The canine leaped at it and took it down swiftly. Tetsuuta took her chance at landing, lighting down on a low lying branch right by the canine's head. She looked it over as it ravenously devoured it's share of meant, deciding it to be a species of wolf. Before she could say or do anything else, it shot off again, crashing through the bramble and plants. Tetsuuta took off after it, soaring a fair distance behind it. She finally caught up to it when the creature stopped, spotting a much smaller vixen. It's face showed hunger, and the wolf invited the smaller fae to eat. He motioned toward the carcass cuasually, as if her could care less whether she ate it or not. Now isn't this odd? The she-owl thought to herself, watching the scene from branches above. The vixen took careful steps toward the wolf, hoping that it wasn't lying and going to eat her, or she didn't startle it. " Miss, I can show you where it is if you'd like," Tetsuuta screeched down, unknowing whether the vixen understood her own tongue or not.

C I N D E R What was that?
Cinder's painted cranium tilted up just enough to look into the branches that were a diagonal distance from her. Her paws stopped very suddenly and she was only a few feet away from the Maned Wolf when she looked up, and to her surprise saw an owl of a species unknown to her. She was not an expert in birds, so all species were really unknown to her.
She could understand a bit of the birds tongue, but not a whole lot. Simple words from the bird language was all. She knew it was saying that it could show her the carcass, but she didn't know for sure.
Could it understand her tongue? Maybe, maybe not. Won't hurt to try. She gave a quick glance to the Wolf, nodding a goodbye and quickly trotting in the Owl's direction.
Thank you. Was all she said as she came forward to the she-owl. Cinder could tell the gender from the size, a male would be a bit taller and wider, unless this one was just a small male.
Can you understand my tongue? She was just checking, making sure that she could talk to her without her wondering what she was saying.

Tetsuuta Song of Peace Tetsuuta could tell by the vixen's expressions that she could only understand the most basic words of the owlen tongue. She had stopped suddenly on her way to the taller wolf, but heard the screech that is common to barn owls. Tetsuuta watched as she said something to her. She could understand it, but it was broken, understanding only some of the words. Thank you. She understood that clearly. You understand tongue? That was a little less easy. She was trying to ask if the she-owl could understand her. Could she? Yes. Fully? No.
Tetsuuta opened her beak to rasp out a single word. "Somewhat," was her reply. It was short, and hopefully the vixen could understand it. If not, the owl would have to try another approach.
"You can understand me as well?" she asked. If only one could understand the other, that would be a problem. Thank goodness both of them couldn't understand the other, that would be disastrous. She moved her head to look at the wolf. Tetsuuta wondered where he would be heading too, in his rushed way.

C I N D E RCinder could understand half of that word, and could easily guess the other half. Somewhat, is that what she said? thought Cinder. She glanced over her shoulder at the Wolf, who was still there for some reason. Cinder nodded her head, agreeing to the she-owl's question. You understand me? is what the vixen heard of the question, but that was enough to make out what she was asking. "I can understand some words," Cinder clarified, her face in the direction of the smell of meat, as to indicate that she wanted to go there. Her eyes glanced around her peripheral vision, seeing that the Wolf was still there, and checking for any others that might have smelled the meat. Their scent would have been blown in her direction, mixed with the smell of the meat. She stood up, taking one step in the direction of the delicious smell. Can we just hurry up and freaking get to the food? I'm starving here, trying to understand a birds language.

Tetsuuta Song of Peace
Tetsuuta nodded, seeing that the vixen was eager for a meal. The fox had said something to assure her that she could understand the owl- to an extent. "Good. Okay, come this way," she rasped in a beaky voice. The she-owl spread her soft-edged wings and took off from the branch, gliding silently near the ground. She circled three times, then sailed off in the direction of the meat. Quickly she turned her head to look over her back, in the way only owls could, to make sure the fox was coming. She couldn't tell, so she slowed even more, then circled around once. She was about half way to the meat, and she decided to wait, just to make sure the vixen was keeping up. The she-owl circled above a gnarled branch on a low-hanging tree, then thrust out her feathered talons, expertly grasping the wood with her four-toed claws.
Tetsuuta let out a screech, to alert to fox to her whereabouts, just in case she was behind the bird. She fluffed her feathers, which seemed to double her size, but then slimmed herself by pressing them against her body. She scanned the forest floor for any sign of the small vixen, but saw nothing. She assumed the small furry creature would come along soon.

C I N D E RCome, did she say come? I think she did... Cinder dashed after her guide, revealing why she was called a swift fox. "Wait for me!" She called, her voice roughened by her panting as she slid in between plants and vegetation. Her paws were quick, almost as quick as her wits, and her tail gently brushed some of the tall grasses and plants as she ran through the mist. Where's that owl, I can't see through this mist!? She stopped abruptly as the mist cleared, and she caught no sight of the owl. A deafening screech was emitted into the forest, sending small echos running through the trees. She pinpointed the source of the screech, There she is.Cinder ran up to stand a yard or two away from the base of the tree, halting to a stop and panting hard. She looked up at the she-owl, her gaze shifting around the scenery that surrounded her. Cinder's head whipped around to face the direction of the kill, her nose twitching furiously, and she spun her head around to face the owl again, then started at a medium trot toward the food. Food... Wonderful food... God, I'm so hungry...

Tetsuuta Song of Peace
Tetsuuta chirped happily as the vixen scampered along through the foliage. She was faster than expected, but the owl paid that no mind. She suddenly became aware of a thick mist that had rolled in, making sight foggy. Though the scene was fogged up by the moisture, she saw well thanks to strong eyes. She vixen scuttled herself over to the carcass, happy to finally get a meal.
The owl spread her soft wings then soared over to the carcass. She cooed softly to alert to fox of her presence, so she didn't become spooked or agitated. "My name is Tetsuuta," she rasped, once settled on the ground next to the furry fox. "It means Peace Song," she added, looking her acquaintance over with obsidian eyes. Her fur was a light color, cream or tannish, and her eyes were brown. Large ears stood atop her delicate face, and seemed almost to large for her head. She was much smaller than the wolf earlier, not surprising since he was a wolf and she a fox. Again Tetsuuta fluffed her feathers, this time to allow the sticky water droplets to cleanse them. The moisture ran down each feather and against her skin. She shivered slightly at the feel; it had been long since the last time such moisture had encased her.

C I N D E RCinder chowed down on the meat, a mouthful of delicious smells and tastes flooded her warm mouth. She was oh so thankful for her guide, the kind owl, who had lead her to the kill. She looked up momentarily from her meal, blood smeared around her snout, to catch what the owl said.
Cinder nodded, understanding the whole sentence somehow. "Hello Tetsuuta, my name is Cinder," She said, bowing her head politely. "Thank you for bringing me here." She gestured to the kill.
Vixen was not huge compared to the owl on the ground, but she defiantly wasn't small either. She went back to eating, filling the rest of her hunger up, and stepping away from the carcass with very little meat left on it. She sat down, lifting one delicate tan paw to her snout to lick and slide down the spots on her muzzle that she missed.
OOC: Sorry I haven't posted for a long time, I ws forgetting to come on here. I'm really sorry!
