The morning mist on the forest floor had began to dismiss itself as the morning sun rose. The osprey female shuffled her head from her breast feather as the sun rose. The light lit the sky with a brilliant radiance making the shadows run away. Uo-Taka shuffle her feathers as she rested on a branch just nearby a waterfall. The roaring sounds coming from it calmed and soothed her. As the sun reached up to where the light shone on her brown and white feathers making, them glisten the osprey stretched out her wings lifting a winged shadow onto the ground below her. The wind was just a pleasent breeze now but it was a perfect time to fly now. A grumble from her stomach complained a sqeezed some pain out while it was at it. So she wouldn't just fly for this morning but a meal to shut her stomach up.
Droping from her branch, wings spreading and flapping, Uo-Taka rose to the sky headed in the direction of the sound of the waterfall. She was a sucker for a meal of fish and that was probably always her first choice. As she glided on the air curret she could see the white watery mist as the water came crashing down. She shifted her tail feathers for a clean landing on one of the boulders. As her talons met the hard, cold, and wet surface Uo began to search the water in search of a fish to eat. She could see a few silver bodies swirming around, moving down stream but those were much too small for her taste and to fill her appitite. Minutes past before she could see a large silver fish trying to escape her sight. Immediately Uo flapped her wings lifting into air following her next meal.
Flying near the higher branches length in the air she swooped downward, clawing the surface of the stream with her extended talons. Catching her prey she flew onto a rock with the fish flipping or at least trying to get out of her grasp. It was bigger than the other little things she saw but this trout was big enough for her stomach. Without hestation she began to chow on her rock that she rested on. Her stomach stopped growling as she devoured her delisous prey. As Uo finished she began to clean her feathers like normal, getting the blood off. Unaware of any predators nearby she went on.
